Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun
Mimiko, has announced that the state government will offer automatic
employment to six indigenes of the state who graduated with First Class
honours.
The governor made the announcement on
Wednesday while speaking at the 2016 Academic Excellence Award ceremony
held at the International Conference Centre, Akure.
The beneficiaries are: Akinbowa Tope (Medicine) from the Obafemi
Awolowo University Ile-Ife; Ogundare Michael (Industrial Chemistry)
University of Ilorin; and Omotuyi Ajoke (System Engineering) University
of Lagos.
Others are Akinola Oluwatoyin (Chemical
Engineering) University of Lagos; George Oladayo (System Engineering)
University of Lagos; and Falade Olayinka, the first female student to
have first class in Law School from Adekunle Ajasin University,
Akungba-Akoko.
Mimiko said his administration had
achieved huge success in education sector, saying he had been able to
bring together balance of performance of public and private schools.
