A Senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN and founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Aare Afe Babalola has urged the Natiinal Assembly to adopt the 1960 Constitution before the 2023 Presidential elections.

Aare Babalola, who made the call at the 12th anniversary celebration of ABUAD, in Ado Ekiti said any attempt to conduct the next general elections with the flawed 1999 Constitution will spell doom for the country.

He cautiined against the practice of re-electing leaders, who have failed to to deliver befire to office, saying they had nithing to offer.

“We must avoid recycling the old failed leaders in the governance of this country. Any mistake of electing a new set of leaders under the present constitution will ruin Nigeria completely.
