BREAKING NEWS: Justice Tanko Muhammad Resigns As CJN

The embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad has stepped down from the post.

Reports say that Justice Muhammad turned in his resignation letter yesterday night.

He based his stepping down on health grounds.

A few months ago, the CJN travelled to Dubai in United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take care of an undisclosed ailment.

Two weeks ago, fourteen of the Supreme Court judges petitioned the National Judicial Commission (NJC) accusing Justice Muhammad of denying them of their fair share of welfare packages.
