A Federal High Court has ordered the Nigerian Senate to immediately recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, declaring her six-month suspension as “excessive.”
Delivering the ruling on Friday, Justice Binta Nyako faulted the legislative basis for the suspension, describing Chapter 8 of the Senate Standing Rules and Section 14 of the Legislative Houses (Powers and Privileges) Act as “overreaching.
