Lawmaker Appoints 106 Aides to Boost Service Delivery
Musa Gude, the member representing Uke/Karshi constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, says he has appointed 106 aides to support his legislative duties and strengthen service delivery to his constituents.
Gude, a Social Democratic Party (SDP) lawmaker, disclosed this in an interview with journalists in Lafia on Tuesday.
According to him, the initiative is aimed not only at improving governance at the grassroots but also at uplifting the living standards of the aides and their families.
“I want to disclose that I have 106 aides on my payroll, including special and personal assistants. Some of them receive N100,000, N80,000, N50,000, N30,000, N20,000, and N10,000, respectively,” he said.
Gude noted that the gesture reflects his commitment to inclusive leadership and socioeconomic empowerment within the constituency. He also highlighted some of his other interventions, including the provision of boreholes, payment of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) fees for students, and empowerment schemes across health, education, agriculture, and infrastructure.
“I have done my best in health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and other areas. I have also empowered many constituents to enable them to become self-reliant,” he added.
The lawmaker assured his constituents of continued quality representation and urged them to promote peace, unity, and tolerance despite their differences.
