IFAD/LIFE-ND ONDO LAUDS WORLD FOOD DAY INITIATIVE

    IFAD/LIFE-ND ONDO LAUDS WORLD FOOD DAY CELEBRATIONS INITIATIVE.     The Ifad/LIFE-ND Ondo Project Office has commended the setting aside of a day as World Food Day. Agric and Forestry Commissioner, Olayato Aribo (R) inspecting Ifad/LIFE-ND stand at the World Food Day event   Speaking in Akure, the State ifad/LIFE-ND State Project Coordinator, Prince Olawale Ademola explained the rationale behind Ifad/LIFE-ND full participation at the event. Ifad/LIFE-ND stand at the WFD celebrations   He said the event was well-thought out as it helped in beaming the search light on the people who ensured we are all alive and living well.    "Farmers are one of the most important segments in every society. They are indispensable, given the unique service they render all all and sundry. Their efforts, through hard work, sweat in the farms bring food to the table for all of us to eat. IFAD, SMEDAN EQUIP ESTABLISHED, BENEFICIARY INCUBATEES WITH KNOWLEDGE OF SURVIVING IN BUSINESS DURING HARD TIMES

 IFAD, SMEDAN Strenghten Empowered, Established Incubatees With Training On Business Sustenance Empowered and established ifad/life-nd beneficiary (incubatees) in Ondo State have been trained on how to sustain their businesses in the face of the challenges engendered by fuel subsidy removal. The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) taught the 35 incubatees on how to surmount the challenges they are currently facing in order to remain in business. Gathered at SMEDAN Hall & Event Centre, Akure, the farmers drawn from different local government areas include cocoa, cassava, poultry and fishery farmers. Addressing the farmers, Prince Olawale Ademola, State Project Coordinator, IFAD/LIFE-ND Project, advised them to devise method that could reduce their loss. He also suggested that they could diversify by going into the sector of the businesses that require less funding. Represented by Mrs. Ajibade
