ONDO GOVT INTENSIFIES EFFORTS ON CONSTRUCTION OF TOWNSHIP ROADS, LAYS ASPHALT ON AFUNBIOWO IN AKURE TO RESIDENTS DELIGHT
Ondo Focuses On Suburb Roads, Lays Asphalt In Afunbiowo In its resolve to provide motorable access roads in the Suburb of the state capital, Ondo State government has commenced asphalt-laying of 2.4km roads in Afunbiowo Estate along Akure/Idanre Road in Akure South Local Government Area. The construction work, which had started in July last year, is near completion. Fielding questions from journalists on the site on Thursday, Engr. Jubril Adebayo, Ministry Principal Resident Engineer, explained that the contractors moved to the site in July in 2023 and began to fill several potholes on the community roads with laterite. Drainage system was also constructed to prevent the roads from collapsing before the asphalt-laying began a couple of days ago on the road.
