VIDEO: DOCTOR WARNS HOLDING IN FARTS (ISO) CAN HAVE GRIM CONSEQUENCES

Doctor warns against holding in farts and says it can have grim consequences

Doctor Karan Rajan has shared some key fart facts on TikTok, including the gross reason you should never try to hold back from letting rip – no matter how rude it might seem.

Society tells us that breaking wind in public is generally bad manners – but did you know it can actually be worse to hold your farts in?

Dr Karan Rajan, an NHS surgeon, has warned that holding in your flatulence could cause the gas to re-enter your bloodstream with disgusting results.

In a TikTok video, @Dr.karanr explained: “If you hold in a fart too long, it can be reabsorbed into your bloodstream and breathed out when you exhale.”

The doctor has racked up over two million views for his video on interesting fart facts, which includes information on how many times a day we break wind on average, as well as the science behind why we fart.

He claims people trump 14 times a day on average and says “the more the merrier” as it’s important to let out the build-up of gas.

He added: “75 per cent of farts are produced by bacteria in the large intestine.

Digested food that isn't broken down is chewed up by bacteria that produce microscopic farts that accumulate and become one of your regular farts.

“25 per cent of farts are swallowed air that you don't burp and dissolved gases from the blood making its way into your intestines.

He said said: “99 per cent of a fart is non-smelly gases – usually hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and methane.

The one per cent of farts that do stink are volatile sulphur compounds like hydrogen sulphide.”

AKURE OBASHIP: OBA AGUNSOYEBIOYINBO ADEMUAGUN ADESIDA 11 BROUGHT CLASS AND DIGNITY TO THE THRONE                 By Sunday Ajibola There are men and there are men. Man gets to positions of power and authority and bring to bear their inner qualities. Position, as we have it here, is used to do all sorts of things; good and bad. But mostly and vexatiously, position blinds us as we use it to cheat and deny others their rights. Certain men understand that position is an opportunity to etch their names in gold and put such in the sand of time.   It is exactly fifty years today that the 42nd Deji of Akure, late Oba Agunsoyebioyinbo Ademuagun Adesida 11 joined his ancestors. That fateful day was Sunday and in the evening; darkness was just enveloping the city. It was the strange shouts of "opo ye o, opo ye o, opo ye o", that prompted me to rush out of our house at Oke aro. I saw people running helter, skelter. I did not bother about them. I was looking for the "electric

It is the second major theft of cryptocurrencies to take place in recent days.                 Last week, digital token platform Poly Network was at the centre of a $600m heist. "WE ARE SORRY TO ANNOUNCE THAT #LIQUIDGLOBAL WARM WALLETS WERE COMPROMISED, WE ARE MOVING ASSETS INTO THE COLD WALLET," THE COMPANY SAID ON TWITTER. So-called 'warm' or 'hot' digital wallets are usually based online and designed to allow users to access their cryptocurrencies more easily, while 'cold' wallets are offline and harder to access and therefore usually more secure.
