Akindolire Assures of Fostering Sound Policies and Build a Prosperous Future” On Assumption of Duty As Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget.




The newly appointed Commissioner for the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Olaoluwa Akindolire, has assumed office, pledging to lead with transparency, diligence, and purpose as he works to drive economic growth and fiscal stability in Ondo State.

Mr. Akindolire, a seasoned financial expert and former Accountant General of the state, was officially welcomed at a brief but significant ceremony held at the ministry's headquarters. The event was attended by top officials and management staff who expressed confidence in his leadership and vision.

“It is a great honour to return to public service in this capacity,” Mr. Akindolire said in his remarks. “I am committed to fostering sound economic policies, strengthening our budgeting systems, and ensuring that we build a prosperous future for the people of our state.”

Earlier, the Administrative Secretary of the Economic Planning and Coordinating Office, Mr. Bamidele John Daisi, introduced the new Commissioner and praised his longstanding reputation for integrity and professionalism. “Honourable Commissioner Akindolire is widely respected for his exemplary service. His appointment is a welcome development for the ministry and the entire economic planning ecosystem,” he noted.

Also speaking, Pastor Stephen Aworere, Administrative Secretary of the Budget Office, commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for what he described as a strategic and timely appointment. “We thank His Excellency for entrusting this vital ministry to a man with a proven track record. We are fully aligned with the Commissioner’s goals and ready to support him,” he said.

Mr. O.S. Ajayi, Acting Statistician-General of the state, added his voice, expressing enthusiasm about the Commissioner’s arrival. “We look forward to working closely with Mr. Akindolire to deepen economic reforms and drive sustainable development.”

In his closing remarks, Mr. Akindolire called on the ministry’s leadership and staff to remain committed to values such as the fear of God, loyalty, and professionalism. He assured them of his readiness to collaborate and provide the support needed to achieve the ministry’s mandate.

Mr. Akindolire’s resumption marks the beginning of what many within the ministry believe will be a transformative era for economic planning and budget administration in Ondo State.
