Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger, is set to leave the club as a free agent next summer and join Real Madrid, according to the UK Independent.
The 28-year-old is into the final months of his current deal at Stamford Bridge and is yet to agree on fresh terms.
Rudiger is understood to have received lucrative offers to join Madrid and Bayern Munich when his deal expires.
However, it is the Spanish side that is leading the race for Rudiger’s signature after reaching an ‘informal agreement’ with his brother and agent Sahr Senesie.
Senesie met with Madrid chiefs a few weeks ago to discuss a potential free transfer for his sibling, which the two parties can officially begin negotiating at the turn of the year under the Bosman ruling.
Los Blancos are looking to sign a centre back next year, after failing to replace Sergio Ramos who left for Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
